Sports Economics, Labor Market Discrimination, Major League Soccer, Discrete Choice Models, Economics of CryptocurrencyCraig Kerr is currently examining labor and sports economics issues within Major League Soccer, the Professional Golfers’ Association, the National Hockey League, and Major League Baseball. His two most recent publications provide different methods to test for labor market discrimination using salary and contract data from Major League Soccer. His earlier research focused on racial wage disparity in U.S. cities and how local wage distributions are shaped by preferences for local amenities.
